Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 3 August 2025

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with Positano Pizza (“we”, “our”, “us”). By paying a deposit, confirming a booking, or engaging our services, you agree to the following terms.

1. Booking Confirmation

All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once a deposit has been received and written confirmation has been provided by Positano Pizza.

Until a deposit is received, event dates remain available for other bookings.

2. Pricing & Quotations

All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Prices displayed on our website, marketing materials and quotations are exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. Applicable GST will be added to the final invoice and clearly itemised.

Quotes are based on the information provided at the time of enquiry. Changes to guest numbers, location, event times, venue requirements, menu selections or access conditions may result in revised pricing.

A travel fee may apply for locations outside our standard service radius. A call-out fee applies for locations beyond 20km from postcode 3059.

3. Deposits

A non-refundable booking deposit of $250 is required to secure your event date.

Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

Deposits may be transferred to another person where required.

4. Final Numbers & Payment

Final guest numbers and any additional pizzas or add-ons must be confirmed approximately 7 days prior to the event so sufficient dough and ingredients can be prepared.

The remaining balance is due no later than 5 days before the event unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Any reduction in guest numbers after final confirmation will not result in a reduction of fees.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Deposits are refundable if cancellation occurs at least 90 calendar days prior to the event date.

Cancellations made within 90 calendar days of the event date will result in the deposit being non-refundable.

If an event is cancelled within 72 hours of the event date and the client wishes to reschedule, a $300 rescheduling fee will apply.

If the event is not rescheduled, all deposits and payments made remain non-refundable.

6. Service & Pizza Quantities

As a general guide, we recommend approximately one pizza per guest for most events.

Pizzas are served buffet-style. Our team continuously hand-stretches, cooks, slices and replenishes pizzas throughout the service period to ensure guests enjoy a variety of freshly cooked pizzas.

Additional pizzas may be added before the final confirmation date, subject to availability.

Plates and napkins are provided as part of our service.

7. Event Access & Setup Requirements

The client is responsible for providing:

  • A flat area of approximately 3m x 3m for setup
  • Safe access for equipment unloading
  • A suitable operating environment for our staff and equipment
  • Any venue approvals required for catering services

We generally arrive between 1.5 and 2.5 hours before service commences depending on the size and requirements of the event.

Delays caused by venue access restrictions or unsuitable conditions may reduce service time without refund.

8. Weather Policy

Positano Pizza operates rain, hail or shine.

However, for safety reasons, we cannot operate during severe weather conditions including lightning, extreme winds or other dangerous conditions. In such circumstances, we will work with the client to determine the most suitable solution while prioritising safety.

9. Dietary Requirements & Allergens

We offer halal-friendly options, vegan pizzas and gluten-free bases. Gluten-free bases incur an additional charge where applicable.

Clients must notify us of any dietary requirements, allergies or intolerances prior to the event.

Whilst we take reasonable precautions, all food is prepared in a shared environment and cooked using shared equipment. Cross-contamination may occur.

Our gluten-free pizzas are not suitable for people with coeliac disease as all pizzas are prepared and cooked in the same environment.

10. Food Safety

Positano Pizza complies with all applicable Victorian food safety regulations and food handling requirements.

Once food has been served or provided to guests, responsibility for its safe storage and consumption passes to the client and guests.

11. Damage & Loss

All equipment supplied by Positano Pizza remains our property.

The client accepts responsibility for any loss, theft or damage caused by guests, venue staff or third parties during the event.

Repair or replacement costs may be charged where applicable.

12. Photography & Marketing

Unless otherwise requested in writing before the event, Positano Pizza may take photographs and videos during the event for use on our website, social media channels and marketing materials.

13. Force Majeure

Positano Pizza shall not be liable for delays, interruptions or cancellations resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, fire, flood, road closures, government restrictions, illness, accidents, power outages or other unforeseen circumstances.

14. Website Content

All content displayed on the Positano Pizza website, including logos, branding, photographs, menus, text and marketing materials, remains the property of Positano Pizza and may not be copied, reproduced or distributed without written permission.
