Positano Pizza was born from a love of food, family, and authentic Italian hospitality.
My name is Daniel, and I was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia — but my heart and heritage are deeply Italian. All four of my grandparents immigrated from Sicily, bringing with them the traditions, recipes, and values that shaped my life. Growing up, our home was always filled with laughter, good company, and—of course—plenty of food.
Cooking and sharing meals weren’t just daily routines; they were ways of showing love. That’s what moulded me — the joy of hospitality, of cooking for people, of watching their faces light up when they take that first bite.
It wasn’t until my partner gifted me a pizza oven that I rediscovered this passion in a whole new way. What started as a weekend hobby quickly turned into an obsession — perfecting doughs, sourcing quality ingredients, and experimenting with flavours that reminded me of home.
A trip to Italy, especially to visit family in Sicily, reignited my love for authentic Italian cuisine. I fell in love all over again — with the simplicity, the freshness, the attention to quality. Back in Melbourne, I began crafting pizzas that captured that spirit — thin, light, flavourful, and made to share. My friends couldn’t get enough. They encouraged me to do something more with it… and so, Positano Pizza was born.
The name comes from Positano, a breathtaking town on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. I fell in love with its colours, its patterns, the lemons, the sea breeze, the sense of effortless Italian elegance. Positano captures everything I want my food to express — vibrance, quality, and connection.
At Positano Pizza, we bring that same energy to every event — from intimate gatherings to big celebrations. Every pizza is hand-stretched, made with premium Italian ingredients, and baked to perfection in our mobile pizza setup.
Our goal is simple: to share a taste of Italy, wherever you are.
Authentic, beautiful, and made with love — just like in Nonna’s kitchen.
